routing.run is operated by Routing Run Private Limited, a company incorporated in India. References to "routing.run", "we", "us", and "our" mean Routing Run Private Limited.

The Routing Run name, routing.run branding and domain, logos, and related materials are the intellectual property of Routing Run Private Limited.

routing.run is an early-stage service. These Terms govern your use of the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using routing.run (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

2. Description of Service

routing.run provides an AI model routing API that enables developers and teams to route requests across multiple AI model providers through a single endpoint. The Service includes:

• A unified API endpoint for routing AI model requests
• Provider routing, health-aware failover, and circuit breaking
• Token-based usage pricing, prepaid routing credit, and top-ups
• A dashboard for API keys, usage, billing, models, and service status
• Documentation and developer resources

3. Accounts & Access

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account or authenticate using a supported sign-in method. When you do so, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials and API keys
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use the Service. You may not create an account on behalf of someone else without their permission.

Each account is for its registered user unless we expressly approve team access. You may not sell, rent, lend, or pool an account or billing access, or share credentials to evade rate limits, usage charges, or security controls. API keys may be used by applications you operate and must be protected as secrets.

4. API Usage & Rate Limits

Your use of the routing.run API is subject to published rate limits, available prepaid credit, and reasonable technical safeguards. We may throttle or temporarily suspend access when use exhausts available credit, exceeds applicable limits, threatens security, or materially degrades the Service for others.

You may use the Service for personal or commercial applications under these Terms. Reselling account access, routing unrelated third-party traffic as a standalone proxy, or offering the Service itself to others requires our prior written agreement.

You agree not to:

• Attempt to circumvent rate limits or usage quotas
• Use the API for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable regulations
• Generate, distribute, or promote child sexual abuse material or exploitative sexual content
• Develop, facilitate, or optimize weapons, violent wrongdoing, or instructions for physical harm
• Create or distribute malicious code, credential theft tools, phishing content, or other material intended to compromise systems or accounts
• Impersonate others, create deceptive deepfakes, or run fraud, scams, or coordinated disinformation campaigns
• Use the Service to unlawfully surveil, harass, stalk, threaten, or abuse individuals or groups
• Reverse engineer non-public components of the Service except where applicable law or an open-source license expressly permits it
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute API access without our written consent
• Share account credentials or billing access, or expose API keys in public or client-side code
• Transmit malicious code, viruses, or any harmful data through the API

We may investigate violations of these restrictions and suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe the Service is being used for prohibited activity. Any unauthorized commercial use or account sharing may result in immediate and permanent suspension, account termination, a ban from the Service, and denial of any refund or credit to the maximum extent permitted by law.

5. Payment & Billing

Basic is billed monthly through Polar and includes a monthly routing-credit balance. Model usage is deducted from available credit at the price shown in the live catalog. Optional top-ups add prepaid credit. Fees and consumed usage are non-refundable except as required by law or as stated in our Refund Policy.

• Prices are quoted in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated
• Model prices and promotional discounts may change; the live catalog shown before use is authoritative
• Subscription-price changes will be communicated before they take effect where required by law
• Failed payments may result in suspension or termination of your account
• You are responsible for applicable taxes in your jurisdiction

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, documentation, branding, the Routing Run name, routing.run marks and domain, and related materials, is owned by Routing Run Private Limited and protected by intellectual property laws, except for code and components provided under their stated open-source licenses. Nothing in these Terms limits rights granted by an applicable open-source license.

You retain ownership of all data you send through the Service. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your prompts, completions, or application data.

7. Data & Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. Our handling of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy.

Key commitments regarding your data:

• Prompt and completion handling: We process request content to operate the Service and route requests, but we do not use that content for advertising or cross-site tracking
• IP address usage: We do not use IP addresses for advertising profiles or cross-site tracking
• Minimal data collection: We collect only what is necessary to operate the Service and process billing
• No selling of data: We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes

8. Service Availability & SLA

We strive to provide a highly available service. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or factors beyond our control.

Any service-level commitment applies only when it is set out in a separately signed agreement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Routing Run Private Limited, routing.run, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Routing Run Private Limited, routing.run, and their affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual property rights
• Any content or data you transmit through the Service

11. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. When you request deletion, we will delete or anonymize personal data unless retention is required for billing, tax, accounting, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect, including intellectual property provisions, limitations of liability, and indemnification.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Venue and jurisdiction will be determined under applicable Indian law.

13. Open Source

The routing backend is published under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (AGPL-3.0) on GitHub. Other open-source components remain governed by their respective licenses.
